I create custom landscape paintings of meaningful places throughout New York’s Capital Region, Hudson Valley, Adirondacks, and beyond.
These paintings are often based on places with personal significance:
- A family home or farm
- A favorite hiking trail
- A camp, cabin, or vacation rental property
- A meaningful landscape from childhood
- A quiet backyard or garden
- A property that has been in the family for generations
My work begins with direct observation whenever possible, often through plein air studies done on location, and is completed in the studio using acrylic or gouache.
Whether the goal is to preserve a memory, celebrate a place, enhance the unique character of a home, or create a gift with personal meaning, I aim to make paintings that feel grounded, specific, and deeply connected to the landscape itself.
The Process
- Reach out by email with a description of the location or idea
- Share photos or references
- We discuss size, framing, timing, and overall direction
- I create preliminary composition studies if needed
- Final artwork is completed and delivered
For locations within the Capital Region, my recommendation is to plan for a visit and painting session at the site directly.

$199 + $1.50 per square inch

Optional hand made framing is available.
Timing
Typical turnaround time is approximately 3–4 months depending on size and scheduling.
Limited commission slots are available each season.
